The Madhya Pradesh government has recently released the 30th monthly instalment of the Ladli Behna Yojana (LBY). This welfare programme is aimed at empowering women across the state. This month's instalment is significantly important because it comes with an enhanced benefit of Rs 1,500 against the previous instalment of Rs 1,250 for every eligible receiver.

This revised assistance has been given to more than 12.60 million registered women, which makes this policy one of the most extensive benefit transfer schemes in India.
